Kirk Fox is Senior Vice President of
Regulatory Affairs and Consulting for the Maryland & District of Columbia
Credit Union Association. With 29 years of service in the credit union
profession, he has been with the Association in various service and support
roles, since 1995. Kirk’s credit union professional career began in
1978 as a senior vice-president of operations for a
Washington,
DC area federal credit union and later as a
CEO of a
Maryland credit union.
Kirk’s current responsibilities include an
active involvement in consulting with affiliated credit unions on
operational issues; policies and procedure development, federal and state
compliance issues, federal regulatory affairs, facilitating strategic planning sessions, web services,
hardware and network engineering.
Maryland
credit unions continue to rely on PC-based computing for their business
needs. Kirk has personally built in excess of 200 machines and provides
network configuration and consulting services in various areas. Kirk is
also a member of the Association’s Advocacy Committee, and is a featured presenter on Bank Secrecy Act,
Boards of Director and Supervisory Committee training and other regulatory affairs.
Kirk attended the
University of
Nebraska, and has been a
Maryland area resident since
the early sixties. Kirk additionally holds CUNA's Certified Credit
Union Executive and BSA Certified Specialists
designations.
